Mnguni who, at a point, made his congregants eat a weave off a female church member’s head because, as he said, the weave had turned into nutritious food that would do no harm to their health, is following the footsteps of Rabboni Ministries’ leader Prophet Lesego Daniel, who made headlines a few years ago for making his congregation eat grass. Pastor Daniel, last year, made churchgoers drink petrol because, as he persuaded them, this would turn into Fanta Pineapple flavored drink. “At the moment everyone is curious about how I do all the work I do; all I can say is that they would have to see it for themselves if they come here on Sundays,” Mnguni told the Pretoria News. I’m not afraid of what people do or say about me because that is all expected. All I am doing is what God has called on me to do. I know God will protect me if need be.”
